  Reminds me when my teenager wants to go watch TV sometimes when we eat. When I have really cooked, I say "No, we are all going to sit at the table, like a happy family, DAMN-IT". HL

  i was reading some of danny haszards web site last night.

  i haven't been able to find out what happened to the parents of laree slack.

  her parents larry and constance slack, jw's, beat their 12 yr old daughter with a 5 foot 1 inch thick electric cable.

  My mother-in-law doesn't cry. She is mean. When she hurts my feelings i cry, instead of telling her she was mean. Then she goes around defending herself, and telling everybody about my crocodile tears. She will also be telling a story about so-n-so and talk about their crocodile tears. She will even tell you herself about not shedding any tears when her husband of 51 years died. I haven't figured out if she is proud of this or not. HL

  what songs do you want played at your funeral?

  yeah its morbid... but since we're not gonna live forever like we thought we might the first half or so of our lives, we're obviously gonna die someday.. and i dont want " keep your eyes on the prize " played at my funeral.. (keeping in mind that theres no one thats gonna claim my body to bury it anyway when the time comes).

  i want " if you could read my mind" by gordon lightfoot.

  " carry on my wayward son" by (kansas?

  NO on the Sonny tea. Jesus Juice maybe would be ok. But as they are shooting your ashes out of that big cannon, toward the stars, I will be covering my drink, probably a wine cooler, just in case the wind changes. HL

  School Shopping

  i hate it!

  i went and did shopping tonight for two of the three kiddos and it was so bad that i could not get into the aisles with a cart.

  so i set it aside and squeezed thru the way and found ...er, fought for what i needed.

  i can spend over $100.00 on little items, man shopping at wally world is the devil on my checkbook.

  Walmart ran out the last grocery store in our town. Now it is the only place to shop. This is a very depressed area. But you can drive 23 miles across the Red River to Texas, and shop with no tax on groceries and, get this, CHEAPER PRICES. They have competition, and a higher class of customer. .09 on canned dog food . .75 on ice cream . .34 on hamburger helper. etc... I don't think there should be this much difference in prices. Why do they charge the poor people more?

  I refuse to buy ANOTHER phone, shreader, or any electronic equipment from Walmart. Yet with all of my grumbling about Walmart, you will probably find me at the local one, because its all that is left here. And our town needs the tax revenue. Lord knows food stamp customers don't pay any. HL

  ok so yesterday i am resting from my vacation and my roomie tells me that officer todd calls from some conutry fried town in southern louisiana.

  he says in 2000 i was supposedly speeding through his town in a red pickup truck.

  Find out the license plate of the truck and see who rented it. Have them fax you a copy of the ticket, so you can see it. Plead not guilty, and demand a jury trial. They usually don't want to bother with that. HL

  Did you ever witness someone being escorted out of the KH?

  did it ever happen in your congregation that a person was asked to leave?.

  i remember about 10 years ago, an elder was giving the sunday talk, and a woman that i never saw before was seated in the front.

  she was all alone, and right in the middle of the brothers talk, she raised her hand and started asking questions to the brother about what he just said.

  I was about 12, when a man towards the back of the hall, 2 rows behind me, got up, and started reading from a big black Bible. He had a very loud booming voice. He had on a black suit. I remember him making high gestures with his arm. Elders came and dragged him out. He yelled the whole way. When I saw the movie Poltergist, the old man in the suit reminds me of him, everytime I watch it.

  Mom wispered that he was demonized. There was a long prayer after he left. I don't remember what they said, but I remember it was a VERY long prayer. HL
